Carnival Cruise Line, known for its spirited fun-filled voyages, is also a culinary explorer, constantly seeking new ways to delight the palates of its guests. As we talked about in past posts Carnival is rolling out brand new main dining room menus, and we’re here to dish out all the savory details. From comfort classics to Emeril’s Select, your taste buds are set for an adventure at sea!
A Fresh Take on Dining: Earlier this year, the Carnival Dream set sail with a delicious mission: to test new menu rotations in its main dining rooms. After much anticipation and valuable guest feedback, Carnival announced the launch of its permanent, revamped menus, offering a gastronomic journey like never before.
Dining Your Way: Carnival’s main dining room continues to offer a flexible dining experience. Guests can opt for set seating times at 5:30 pm or 7:45 pm, maintaining the same table and waitstaff throughout their cruise, or choose ‘Your Time’ dining for any time between 5:15 and 9 pm. Whichever you pick, these new menus are there to enhance your evening culinary escapades.
A Menu for Every Mood: The new dinner menus, now being introduced across the fleet, vary based on your cruise’s specific itinerary and length. Shorter voyages of three to five nights will feature one elegant night, while longer cruises offer the much-anticipated lobster during the second elegant night. And good news for steak lovers: the beloved Flat Iron Steak is making a comeback as an everyday option!
What’s on the Menu? Curated by Carnival’s Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse and his team, the menus boast an array of new dishes. ‘Emeril’s Select’ includes personal recommendations from Lagasse himself, like the mouth-watering crab and shrimp cake or the savory jambalaya pasta. Salad enthusiasts will rejoice over the ‘Featured Salad’ section, offering a fresh salad entrée each night.

Extra Bites: While the vast majority of the menu is included in your cruise fare, additional entrées beyond the second will cost $5 each. Remember, specialty drinks, soda, and alcoholic beverages aren’t included, but you can opt for a beverage package to enjoy drinks at your leisure in the dining rooms, bars, and lounges.
Specialty Dining: For those seeking an even more unique dining experience, Carnival offers specialty restaurants for an additional charge. From upscale steakhouses to sushi and teppanyaki, these options vary by ship, providing a diverse culinary landscape.
Rolling Out the Tasty Waves: The new menus are set to be onboard all U.S.-based ships by the end of the year, with Australian-based ships joining in 2024.
Carnival’s new main dining room menus are a testament to the cruise line’s dedication to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience. With a range of new dishes and the return of some favorites, there’s something to satisfy every craving. So, next time you set sail with Carnival, prepare for a culinary journey that’s as thrilling and varied as the destinations you’ll visit.
